Southeastern Baptist outscored Arkansas Baptist College 23-3 across the two-game sweep while receiving strong performances from Ethan Bettner, Landon Green, Kemarion Akins, and Gage Dufour along with big offensive days from Braylon McMillan, Jeremiah McKinney, Noah Soto, and Shooter Holyfield.
The Chargers put together one of their most complete performances of the season on Saturday, rolling past Arkansas Baptist College 12-0 behind a huge offensive outburst and dominant pitching.
Southeastern Baptist wasted little time getting on the board in the opening inning when TJ Gordon delivered an RBI single to give the Chargers an early lead. The offense then broke the game open in the second inning, plating eight runs in a frame that showcased patience, timely hitting, and aggressive base running.
Braylon McMillan sparked the rally with a run-scoring double and later added another RBI in the inning. Carson Sulfsted drew a bases-loaded walk, while Shooter Holyfield came through with an RBI single. Noah Soto also added an RBI knock as the Chargers quickly seized control.
Southeastern Baptist continued to add on in the third inning when Sulfsted ripped a double down the right field line and Holyfield brought home another run to extend the advantage.
On the mound, Ethan Bettner gave the Chargers exactly what they needed, tossing three shutout innings while allowing only three hits and striking out three. Bettner set the tone early and kept Arkansas Baptist from gaining any momentum.
The bullpen was equally impressive as Gage Dufour and Holyfield combined to finish off the shutout effort.
McMillan led the Chargers offensively with two hits and two RBIs, while Holyfield also drove in two runs. Jeremiah McKinney added pressure on the bases with two stolen bases as Southeastern Baptist swiped five bags in the victory.

The Chargers carried their momentum into the second game of the day, finishing off the sweep with an 11-3 win over Arkansas Baptist College.
Southeastern Baptist jumped out to an early lead in the first inning when Jeremiah McKinney delivered an RBI single and the Chargers capitalized on defensive miscues to take control. The offense continued to produce in the second inning as Shooter Holyfield and TJ Gordon each added RBIs to push the lead further.
The Chargers continued to add insurance throughout the game, including another run in the third inning after Bailey was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
Landon Green turned in a strong start on the mound, holding Arkansas Baptist scoreless across four innings while allowing only two hits. Green kept hitters off balance all afternoon and gave Southeastern Baptist another steady pitching performance.
After Green exited, Kemarion Akins came on in relief and helped keep the momentum on Southeastern Baptist's side before the bullpen turned things over to Gage Dufour. Dufour was dominant out of the bullpen, striking out four batters in one and one-third scoreless innings without allowing a hit.
At the plate, Noah Soto, Austin Schroeder, and Jhase Jackson each collected two hits for the Chargers. Matthew Villanueva, Aiden Kilgore, and Bailey all drove in two runs apiece.
Chance Burkes showed patience at the plate by drawing four walks, helping Southeastern Baptist pile up 10 walks as a team. Carson Sulfsted, McKinney, and Braylon McMillan each stole multiple bases as the Chargers ran wild on the base paths with 11 stolen bases.
The Chargers also flashed solid defense, turning a double play as they completed the sweep in convincing fashion.
The Chargers now head to Pensacola looking to build off the momentum from the doubleheader sweep and continue their winning streak.
