The Southeastern Baptist College baseball program is proud to announce the signing of Brogan Blum, a graduate of Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, Louisiana, who will continue his academic and athletic career with the Chargers.

Blum arrives at Southeastern Baptist College after competing at one of Louisiana's premier high school baseball programs and originally signing to play collegiate baseball at Xavier University of Louisiana. His experience and development through the recruiting process reflect the dedication and work ethic that have defined his baseball journey.

A right-handed hitter and thrower, Blum has built his reputation as a versatile player capable of contributing behind the plate and in the infield. Standing 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds, he possesses a strong defensive skill set, an accurate arm, and the leadership qualities coaches look for in a catcher. His defensive metrics include an 85 mph arm velocity and a sub-2.0 second pop time, showcasing his ability to control the running game and lead a pitching staff.

Throughout his career, Blum has demonstrated a commitment to developing every aspect of his game. Coaches have consistently praised his baseball IQ, coachability, and competitive nature. His ability to handle multiple positions while providing leadership on the field makes him a valuable addition to the Chargers program.

"Brogan is the type of player who makes a program better," said Assistant Coach Ryley Reynolds. "He comes from a tremendous baseball background, understands the game at a high level, and brings leadership qualities that are difficult to teach. His experience, toughness, and work ethic will fit perfectly within our culture at Southeastern Baptist College."

Blum joins a growing Chargers recruiting class that continues to attract talented student-athletes from some of the strongest baseball programs throughout the Gulf South. His commitment further strengthens a roster focused on developing players on the field, in the classroom, and in their faith.
