Biography
T.J. Gordon is a freshman catcher for the Southeastern Baptist College Chargers, known for his leadership behind the plate, athletic defense, and strong offensive production during his standout high school career. He hails from Meridian, Mississippi, and comes to SBC after a decorated tenure at Clarkdale High School.
At Clarkdale, Gordon was a key leader on and off the field, helping anchor a Bulldog squad that captured its first-ever South State Championship and earned a berth in the MHSAA Class 2A State Championship series. His performance in big games — including leading Clarkdale with multiple hits and an RBI in the state championship series — highlighted his ability to deliver under pressure.
Gordon’s senior season was filled with honors, including being named a 2025 MAC All-Star Player, a 2023–2024 2A Second Team All-State selection, and Defensive Player of the Year. He also contributed in multiple district and regional championship runs and was recognized for leadership and character with the prestigious Wayne “Twink” Sexton Award.
Off the field, Gordon excelled academically with a 3.7 GPA, earned Honor Roll status, and was a four-time National Honor Society member.
