Southeastern Baptist College Baseball continues to strengthen its 2026 recruiting class with the addition of Texas infielder Christian Viesca from Holy Cross High School.
A versatile middle infielder from San Antonio, Texas, Viesca brings a strong combination of athleticism, defensive versatility, and offensive production to the Chargers program. Standing 6-foot and 190 pounds, he has experience at shortstop, second base, and third base, giving the Chargers valuable flexibility across the infield.
Viesca has been a key contributor for the Holy Cross Knights, helping lead one of the top TAPPS programs in Texas. His ability to make consistent contact, compete in big-game situations, and play multiple positions made him an attractive target for the SBC coaching staff. During Holy Cross' 2025 state playoff run, he delivered a clutch RBI single in the TAPPS Division III State Semifinals, showcasing his ability to perform under pressure.
"Christian is the type of player who impacts the game in multiple ways," said SBC Assistant Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator Lee Rich. "He brings toughness, baseball IQ, versatility, and a competitive spirit that fits exactly what we're building at Southeastern Baptist College."
Viesca joins a growing list of talented recruits from the state of Texas choosing to continue their academic and athletic careers at Southeastern Baptist College. His commitment further strengthens a Chargers program that has made four NCCAA Regional appearances in the last five seasons and continues to build momentum throughout the South Region.
The Chargers are excited to welcome Christian and his family to Laurel and look forward to seeing him compete in royal blue and white.
Welcome to Charger Nation, Christian! ????
