Box Score Southeastern Baptist College delivered one of its most complete offensive performances of the season on Saturday, racking up 14 hits and 12 runs in a hard-fought contest on the road.
The Chargers wasted no time setting the tone, erupting for five runs in the top of the first inning.
Matthew Villanueva got things started by drawing a walk to bring in the first run, followed by a run-scoring single from
Dilon Booth. Braylon McMillan continued the momentum with an RBI single, and
Noah Soto capped off the inning with a two-run double, giving Southeastern Baptist an early advantage.
Soto was outstanding at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3. He doubled in the first inning and added singles in both the third and fifth innings, consistently putting pressure on the defense and igniting the Chargers' offense.
The Chargers stayed aggressive in the third inning, putting together another big frame by scoring five more runs on six hits.
