Southeastern Baptist College faced a tough challenge against Southern University of New Orleans, ultimately succumbing to an 18-5 defeat in the opening game of a doubleheader on Sunday.

The game got off to a promising start for Southeastern Baptist when Caleb Polk grounded out, enabling Leroy Rushing to notch the team's first run. However, Southern University of New Orleans quickly gained momentum, with Rushing and Armand Diagre delivering crucial doubles that resulted in two more runs on the scoreboard.

Despite the efforts of Southeastern Baptist, highlighted by Cole Eckhoff two hits and Diagre's solid performance going 2 for 4 at the plate, they were unable to get back in the game.
