Meridian, MS: Clarkdale High School's standout catcher, TJ Gordon, has officially committed to play collegiate baseball for Southeastern Baptist College, joining the Chargers for the upcoming season. The announcement comes on the heels of a remarkable senior year, both on and off the field, solidifying Gordon's reputation as one of Mississippi's premier high school catchers.A standout leader on and off the field, Gordon leaves behind a decorated legacy at Clarkdale, marked by athletic excellence, academic achievement, and unwavering character.Gordon anchored a defense that consistently delivered under pressure.
A Season to Remember
Gordon played a pivotal role in leading the Clarkdale Bulldogs to their first-ever South State Championship, securing a spot in the MHSAA Class 2A State Championship series. The Bulldogs clinched the South State title with a 4-1 victory over Pisgah, advancing to face East Union in the championship series.
Throughout the season, Gordon's performance was instrumental in the Bulldogs' success. In the state championship series, he led Clarkdale with three hits and one RBI, showcasing his offensive prowess .
