The Southeastern Baptist College Chargers are excited to announce the addition of two standout athletes from Ascension Christian High School in Gonzales, Louisiana — Cade Dowden and Carson Sulfsted — to the Charger Baseball program. Both players have been recognized among Louisiana's top high school baseball talents and are expected to make an immediate impact at the collegiate level.

Cade Dowden brings a strong combination of leadership and athletic excellence to the Chargers. A versatile outfielder, Cade has earned All-District honors during his high school career. Off the field, he exemplifies academic and character leadership as an Honors Graduate, Vice President of the National Honor Society, and a member of the Athletic Leadership Council at Ascension Christian. His well-rounded background will be a tremendous asset both on the field and in the campus community.

Carson Sulfsted adds speed, athleticism, and proven performance to the Charger outfield. Over his high school career, Carson consistently excelled, earning multiple district recognitions:

• 2022 – 2nd Team All-District (Outfield)

• 2023 – Honorable Mention All-District (Outfield)

• 2024 – Honorable Mention All-District (Outfield)

• 2025 – 1st Team All-District (Outfield)

Carson's dynamic skill set and drive to succeed will be key components as the Chargers continue to build a competitive and energetic roster.
