Farrell Finalizes Chargers Baseball Coaching Staff Ahead of 2026 Season
LAUREL, Miss. – Southeastern Baptist College Head Baseball Coach Rafael Farrell has officially finalized his 2025-26 coaching staff as the Chargers gear up for their sixth competitive season in the NCCAA. The staff includes returning Assistant Head Coach Lee Rich, who continues to lead the pitching staff and recruiting efforts, along with newly hired assistant coaches Ryley Reynolds and Cody Farr—both SBC alumni who bring passion and insight to the growing program.

Now entering his third year on staff, Coach Lee Rich has been a key architect behind Southeastern Baptist College's rise as one of the premier pitching programs in the NCCAA. In 2024, the Chargers' pitching staff ranked 3rd nationally among 52 Division I and II NCCAA teams and featured the #1-ranked pitcher in the nation. In 2025, the staff once again earned national recognition with a top 10 ranking.
Coach Rich's pitching corps has played a pivotal role in back-to-back postseason appearances, including a strong run to the NCCAA South Regional semifinals this past season.
A former standout left-handed pitcher at Quitman High School, Rich began his playing career as both a pitcher and first baseman before continuing at the collegiate level. He brings years of experience from coaching and playing across Legion, high school, and showcase baseball levels.
His relentless work ethic and recruiting vision continue to elevate the Chargers' competitiveness and expand their talent base year after year.

Ryley Reynolds – Assistant Coach (Pitching / Player Development) rr
Ryley Reynolds, the #1-ranked pitcher in the NCCAA in 2024, returns to Southeastern Baptist as a first-year assistant coach. A First Team NCCAA All-American, Reynolds played a critical role in SBC's recent postseason success—dominating on the mound and providing leadership as a student-athlete.

A native of Hickory, Mississippi, Reynolds is a graduate of Russell Christian Academy. He began his collegiate career at Calvin University in Michigan before transferring to SBC, where he became one of the top college arms in the country. As a coach, Reynolds will assist in developing pitchers, overseeing daily training routines, and supporting overall team development.

Cody Farr – Assistant Coach (Catching / Hitting Development) cf
Joining the staff as an assistant coach, Cody Farr brings valuable insight as a former SBC catcher. A product of Houston High School (MS), Farr is known for his grit, toughness behind the plate, and baseball IQ. As a player, he contributed to SBC's postseason success with his leadership and communication, especially in managing pitchers and in-game adjustments.

In his new role, Farr will focus on catcher development and assist in offensive instruction, bringing a player-first approach that helps the next generation of Chargers improve their preparation and in-game performance.

Chargers Baseball: A Rising NCCAA Program
Under Coach Farrell's leadership, Southeastern Baptist College Baseball has steadily built a winning culture rooted in faith, development, and discipline. The Chargers have qualified for four regional appearances in the last five seasons and continue to gain recognition throughout the NCCAA for their competitiveness and commitment to excellence.

With a strong coaching foundation in place, the Chargers are poised to take another step forward in 2026 as they pursue an NCCAA South Region Championship and a berth in the NCCAA World Series.
