Jacob Hitt, a 2019 graduate of Newton County High School, has officially signed to play baseball with the Chargers. Known for his dedication and talent, Jacob has made significant strides both academically and athletically.
During his time at Newton County High School, Jacob distinguished himself not only as a standout athlete but also as an exceptional student. Graduating with honors, Jacob was a member of the prestigious Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
Jacob continued to excel in his baseball career at Newton County, where he earned first-team all-division honors for the Cougars baseball team. His performance on the field was matched by his commitment to academics.Â

After completing his studies at East Central Community College, Jacob signed to play baseball at the Mississippi University for Women, commonly known as "The W." His tenure at "The W" further showcased his skills and dedication to the sport.
Now, Jacob is set to embark on the next chapter of his athletic and academic journey by joining the Chargers baseball team. While continuing to pursue his Bachelor of Business degree at SBC, Jacob will be an integral part of the Chargers' pitching rotation.
