Southeastern Baptist College wrapped up the weekend on a high note, taking Game Three of the series with a strong all-around performance to secure an 8–5 victory over the Pioneers on Saturday at 100 College Drive.
The Pioneers struck first with a run in the opening inning, but the Chargers responded immediately and took control in the second.
Hunter Filber drew a bases-loaded walk to bring in the tying run, and Braylon McMillan followed with a clutch two-RBI single to push SBC ahead 3–1.
Southeastern Baptist College added to the lead in the third inning when
TJ Gordon ripped an RBI single to center, continuing his productive weekend at the plate.
On the mound,
Brayden Bufkin turned in one of his strongest outings of the season. The right-hander worked six and one-third innings, allowing five runs (four earned) while scattering nine hits, striking out two, and walking only two. Bufkin controlled the zone and forced key ground balls to keep SBC in front.
Landon Green entered in relief and closed out the final outs to preserve the win.
Offensively, SBC recorded 10 hits, with
TJ Gordon leading the charge. Gordon went 2-for-3 with three RBI, continuing his hot streak in the series. Braylon McMillan also notched two hits and delivered the key two-run single early. The Chargers were aggressive on the bases, swiping three stolen bags, and the defense turned two double plays, helping to neutralize Pioneer threats throughout the game.
