.Southeastern Baptist College exploded for six runs in the opening inning on Saturday at Boston Park, setting the tone in a 7–1 win. The early surge came from a walk to
Noah Soto that forced in a run, a two-RBI single from
Tre'Von Wynn, another bases-loaded walk drawn by
Aiden Kilgore, and a two-run single off the bat of
Jeremiah McKinney.
The visitors scored first with a groundout RBI in the top half of the first, but SBC quickly answered and seized the momentum for good
In the second inning,
Matthew Villanueva added on with a no-doubt solo shot to left field, pushing the lead to 7–1.
Brayden Bufkin earned the start for SBC and delivered a strong outing, giving up just one run on four hits across five innings while striking out two and issuing no walks.
Ethan Russell and
Gage Dufour followed out of the bullpen and combined to close the door with scoreless relief.
At the plate, leadoff man McKinney collected two hits in three trips. SBC showed patience all game long, working 11 total walks, with Villanueva, Kilgore,
Shooter Holyfield, and Soto each drawing two. Defensively, Southeastern Baptist played clean baseball—no errors—and turned a double play.
