Southeastern Baptist College

Ben Elsberry is a graduating senior from Cherokee County High School in Centre, Alabama, who has committed to Southeastern Baptist College in Laurel, Mississippi, on a baseball scholarship. 
A right-handed pitcher, Elsberry plays multiple positions (RHP / 2B / 3B) and is listed on Perfect Game as a 2025 commit.

His journey is especially remarkable: about a year before his signing, he was involved in a severe car accident that left doctors skeptical about whether he would survive or escape long-term damage. 
Through determination, faith, and rehabilitation, he not only recovered but returned to the mound confidently. 

During his final high school season, he posted a 2.38 ERA, struck out 45 batters over 50 innings, and earned distinctions like “Pitcher of the Year” and All-County honors. 

Off the field, he has maintained solid academics (A–B Honor Roll), is active in his church, and participates in the Future Teachers of Alabama.
