Another Washington County Standout, Ty Owens, Signs with Charger Baseball
Laurel, Miss. – Head Coach Raphael Farrell and the Southeastern Baptist College baseball program are excited to announce the signing of another Washington County standout, Ty Owens, from Washington County High School in Chatom, Alabama, as a member of the Chargers' 2026 recruiting class.
Owens joins the Charger program after a successful career with the Washington County Bulldogs, where he established himself as a dependable contributor and a player who consistently found ways to impact the game. Throughout his varsity career, Owens accounted for 38 runs scored and 25 RBIs, showcasing his ability to both create and capitalize on scoring opportunities.
During his senior season, Owens continued to be a key piece of the Bulldogs' lineup. His aggressive approach on the bases, competitive mindset, and willingness to do whatever was needed to help his team succeed made him an important part of Washington County's program.

As the Chargers continue to build momentum following several successful seasons and regional appearances, the addition of Owens strengthens an already promising 2026 recruiting class.
