Game Recap
Road Loss at Pensacola Christian
Both teams started slowly, feeling each other out in the opening minutes. Pensacola Christian struck first, scoring their first eight points at the free-throw line. PCC's largest lead in the first half was six, while our biggest lead was five.
We held a five-point advantage with about a minute left in the first half but let that lead slip away right before halftime. That's an area we must improve—finishing halves strong. There were stretches in the first half where we had opportunities to extend the lead to double digits, but we didn't capitalize.
Amen Jackson single-handedly kept us in the game in the first half, scoring 16 points off the bench.
The second half mirrored the first—back and forth play. Midway through the half, we hit a drought with four to five poor possessions in a row, turning a six-point deficit into a 12-point hole. We battled back late and cut the deficit to four, but couldn't get over the hump.
