Southeastern Baptist College

Ashton Peters serves as an Assistant Basketball Coach and Resident Director at Southeastern Baptist College, combining sports mentoship with student leadership development. Prior to his coaching career at Southeastern Baptist, Peters served as a student-manager for the Jackson State Lady Tigers, played 2 collegiate seasons for the Southeastern Baptist Chargers, and played a pivotal role in the 2025-2026 Lady Chargers' season as a student-assistant coach. 

Program Strategy: Peters plays a vital role in leading player development workouts, organizing film breakdowns, maximizing time in practice, and creating tactical game plans. 

Elite Operational Background: Coming from Jackson State, Peter's applies championship-level structural insights to Southeastern Baptist College. Training, treatment, pre-practice preparation, and organization are all duties that Coach Peters helps to fill.  

Campus Leadership: Serving as a Resident Director, Coach Peter's helps unite the student's on campus through Bible study, student-activities, and encouraging support for all of our athletic teams. Aligned with Coach Shields, Peters' main focus is developing student-athletes' faith.
